Cat Deeley's style can be described as many things, but effortless is the adjective that often springs to mind. Cat knows how to make a statement with her outfit without it looking too try-hard, and her latest This Morning look is all the evidence we need to prove that point.
Cat stepped out in a stunning matching set by ME + EM to host Thursday's edition of This Morning. Cat's fresh co-ord felt spot on for this sunny spring weather, with its designed-inspired pattern and soft, romantic silhouette. Playful yet elegant, the graphic striped set offered an alternative to classic stripe colourways or floral patterns.
- Cat Deeley wore a striped spring outfit on This Morning, Thursday April 30
- Cat's knitted stripe top and skirt are from royal-fave, ME + EM
- The playful set has a Missoni vibe for a fraction of the price
Cat, 49, wore it in her usual style; anchored by a dark brown belt, hair worn loose and wavy and glowing makeup. She added a pair of slim open toe heels too.
Proving stripes can be more than the traditional black and white combination, Cat wore the ME + EM Knit Stripe Top, with its matching skirt, giving co-ords a more playful yet sexy feel with the swishing skirt and shoulder-baring top.
You can wear the pieces apart too; the top is ideal for wearing with jeans on a sunny evening and the skirt can be paired with a simple tee, a knit or a waistcoat too.
It's a great two piece for the weather too; the knit fabric is lightweight, but adds a layer of warmth if the weather does take a turn. But equally, is breezy enough for a warm day too.
Both pieces are available in all sizes from XXS - XL.
How to wear a co-ord like Cat
- Smart casual: Cat's styling is spot on for a smart casual event. You can add a light jacket, or a closed toe heeled shoe for a point of difference.
- For the office: Leave the top at home and wear with a structured white shirt, or a blazer thrown over a classic smart tee.
- For an event: Could you wear this to a wedding? You absolutely could. Heels would be a must, with coordinating accessories - I'd go for gold or dark brown, rather than raffia. A trophy jacket in a neutral tone could be thrown over the top/
The lightweight knit in a striped pattern is reminiscent of the pattern Italian fashion house Missoni is known and loved for. The brand's signature knit is known the world over, revered for its zigzag pattern in multicoloured threads.
