The Duchess of Edinburgh is the wife of Prince Edward, the late Queen Elizabeth II's youngest son. The couple met at a tennis event in 1993 and married at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in 1999. After her wedding, she was known as the Countess of Wessex. In March 2023, Edward and Sophie were given the title of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The pair share two children - Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex.
